It's been awhile...

Hello! It has been awhile since the last post. A lot has happened...(not really, just haven't had a lot to say or post). In the final stages of wedding planning, various work projects, church projects, and everything else that happens in life, its been fairly busy. 

After harvest...

Most of the fields around me harvested now leaving only the remains. Between the remains and the sunset, they make for a unusual and interesting combination. Take a look at these photos from earlier this week and let me know how you like them.

Sun and Clouds

It is amazing some of the pictures the sun makes in the sky. Yesterday was one of those days. With the clouds covering everything and putting a somber mood down on everything, the sun was there the whole time ready to peek through and brighten the day.

Harvest Time

Looking around the past couple days, it has been obvious that fall is here. The time where all the farmers work 24/7 to get the crops in. Between the farmers,  the equipment, and some fairly decent backdrops, photos can't really capture the moment like it should be caught. But here is an attempt at it.

Just a country road...

There's something peaceful and relaxing about the old roads. I love seeing the trees and then as fall comes around, the changing of the leaves, all right there by the road. You can have the highways and freeways, I will take these old roads any day.

It's Fall!

Hey Everyone! After a long break of blogging...I am hoping to get back into it. The past couple months have been swamped with church events and work and all kinds of things like that. Plus, when your busy and don't get out a lot, it tends to get a little boring taking pictures of the same old things all the time. 

All that being said, here are some of my favorites from my time outside today. Instead of using my regular 18-55mm lens, I went with the 75-300mm zoom lens. It is amazing the different perspectives you can get of the same places you have been the whole time. Enjoy!

Universal City Walk

It's been an amazing past couple days in Los Angeles. As promised, here are some better quality pictures from my camera. The City Walk is similar to some places I have been, but much nicer and more upscale than something like Navy Pier. The lights and shops and just the experience was amazing to take in. I will be posting more from the Studio Tour, and Universal itself in the coming days...or hours. :p Enjoy!

Afternoon on the River

Today we had a good time canoeing down the Skunk River. It was a very pleasant 10 mile trip and something I am looking forward to doing again soon. The photo below is something you will see on my instagram page, but wanted to post it here as well. These were taken on my iphone 4. Feel free to comment and share. 

Fun in Town

Yesterday I took some friends to the airport in Moline and then drove their car back to Washington for them. I had a couple of hours to burn and ended up walking around downtown/the town square with my camera just to see what there is to see. The photos below are some of what I saw. I am sure some of them will eventually find their way to instagram...lol. Enjoy!

Summertime in Iowa

August in Iowa is always warm and humid. But it does offer some interesting photo opportunities. Check out some of these photos from my summer so far. Another Golf night sunset...

There is just something about golfing and sunsets that equates to some amazing pictures. It was a beautiful night golfing with perfect weather and a gorgeous sunset. The photo below was shot on my iphone 4 and then uploaded to instagram with only a minor edit in the app.
